Talents Take A Bow

Mt. Pleasant Elementary School students recently showcased their talents during the school’s annual variety show at High School West. For more than 20 years, song, dance, magic, comedy and other entertaining MPES acts have been playing to packed auditoriums of parents and faculty.

St. Patrick’s Day at MTP

Irish eyes were smiling at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School on St. Patrick’s Day. As children entered the building they were treated to an Irish Step Dance performance by fellow Mt. Pleasant students Natalie and Amber. It was a great way to kick off the day.

4th Grade Native American Program

Mt. Pleasant fourth grade students took a journey into Native American territory.  They learned about artifacts from long ago and crafted clay pots utilizing the coil method.  They also compared the United States government to that of the Iroquois Confederacy.

Valentines for Nesconset Nursing Home

First and second graders at Mt. Pleasant Elementary volunteered to make valentines with the help from Student Council.  Students made valentines to send to the residents at the Nesconset Nursing Home.  The students hope their loving cards and thoughts will make each recipient smile.

Pancake Breakfast for Box Top Winners

Look who was serving up pancakes?  You guessed it… Chef Ierano!  Mrs. Metz and Mrs. Clarkson’s students were treated to a pancake breakfast as a reward for collecting the most Box Tops.  This treat was a super sweet way to thank them for their diligence in bringing in Box Tops.
